Rob Hooks - severed relationships
Rob Hooks grew up with a military father, who was often absent. He wound up in and out of foster care and children's home from the age of 18 months to about 8 or 9. His sense of abandonment opened him up to the world of drugs at a very young age. LSD gave him the illusion of enlightenment which made him really go for it drug-wise. Then his mother got really ill from a stroke, his father left for good, she became a Christian, then he was moved by testimony of some former drug friends. Later while working for London City Mission in the UK God his sister was shot in the US, and through the piling on of too much stress, was forced to confront his brokenness - much of which had come through his non-relationship for 20 years with his father. God is the perfect Father and restorer of broken relationships!
