Donate to Projects
We have a number of areas on our mind, where we'd feel a great deal more peace about moving forward if God led other people to help. We have no staffing costs, so we believe we can give you a very high gospel return on any investment you make in this Kingdom venture.

Our Track Record
With £5,000 and a lot of freely donated testimonies and time in the five years since our founding we've had 60+ testimonies uploaded, over 235,000 videos watched, and our YouTube channel alone viewed by more than 20,000 people. With a little bit more cash injection we believe we can take it to the next level in terms of our key vehicle for reaching out: our video presence on the internet.
Website: £5k - £8k
This has been a big thing on our mind for a number of years, and our Vision Day accelerated and developed our thinking on this still further. We would like to upgrade our website so we can better display our 70+ testimonies (and cope with 100/200!), and more easily enable content to be updated, events to be added, the written text of testimonies to be made available etc. We also want to be able to display relevant information about appropriate Christian resources to people while they are watching videos, and additionally better facilitate Christians in serving their local broken communities.
To get the design to premier level, and some of the IT trix behind working well, we are reckoning on raising about £7k. But it could be less, it could be more...
We'll get our logo renovated (not revolutionised) before we begin the process, as it's not as useful as it could be - it only works in full colour for a start! Hopefully, Net Dreams would then build the site to our requirements, as Tom had pleasure working with them in building Christianity Explored's site. Just so you know what kind of standard you're paying for!
Much improved audio for videos: £1k min
We've had one Rode Videomic for the past 5 years (after we tried and failed with wired lavaliers!), and it's beginning to fall apart now.
We could do with a better microphone to capture clearer cleaner audio, and a preamp to go with that. We wouldn't mess around, but go for high quality objects we won't outgrow (when we get our dream camera): the MixPre-D by Sound Devices, and the NTG-3 by Rode, these are the kings of value, longevity (10 yr guarantees), versatility and performance in the indie filmmaker grade we're aiming for. We'd pick up the MixPre-D in the US (with the component parts required) to save a further 30%.
That's the baseline covered for under £1,000.
We could also do with a radio mic for those occasions when we can't use our wired microphone very easily. We haven't researched this completely, since we don't have any funds anyway, but it looks like a decent radio mic kit that is 2012 ready (the frequencies available for radio mics in UK are changing) could cost another £300-900! Of course, if you know of anyone who is getting rid of one, or upgrading, we'd be interested in 2nd hand equipment!
Additional ongoing costs: £2.5k per anum
We have ZERO staffing costs, as people continue to volunteer. We do have some small rental requirements, as Raleigh Park Baptist Church are very generous, but we'd like to be able to help them more - they are a zealous small church plant in Brixton's heart and worth supporting.
Also Frank freely donated two and a half years of his time, and now his widow and children might benefit from it, we'd like to help support them where necessary in recognition of Frank's foundational gift of the end of his life's energies to Transformed. It would seem wrong to do other than watch out for his families concerns in some manner at least.
Direct debits, or standing orders would be the most helpful for any commitment to ongoing costs.
Ideal video improvements: £3k - £5k
We worked with a budget 2nd hand Canon, then a Canon HV20 till it died, now we use a Panasonic HDC-SD700. We could do with a better 2nd HD digital camera (and tripod) - this will enable us to raise our game visually (and audio wise, XLR inputs), cut between shots, and so edit longer testimonies into short 3/5 minute ones so that for those with less time they can still get gripped by the message of Christ... One could spend between £3-4k on this! Panasonic AF102, Canon XA10, XF105 and Sony VG10 all crossed our line of view. None quite seem the right value point yet. Maybe the 10 minute limit will get removed from DSLRs and we'll only have to spend £1k or so! We can't imagine receiving enough donations to get this far in our project priorities for years, and this might be just fine as patience seems likely to bring the desired value and quality point camera along.
